so..I’ve been playing guitar for a while now, and I’m getting more and more in to industrial music.
So do you have any ideas how to get a nice aggressive industrial guitar-sound?
Like what pedals/modules can I use? What do you use?
I’ve been looking att the moogerfooger freqbox (mf-107), kinda nasty, not to cheap though :/

Thanks for this. To make an aggressive industrial guitar sound you need an aggressive industrial attitude and the tools to realise it. You need the following things to make AWESOME GUITARS happen:

PLAY WITH ATTITUDE!
It ain’t what you got, it’s how you use it.
I studies music at university and was surrounded by AMAZING guitarists! …but the most awesome guitarist was a young skinny guy named Nathan. He was not the best guitarist but OH MY GOD he let rip with flesh-eating guitars.
He played everything with absolute passion. He had a standard Fender, RAT Distortion pedal and small marshall combo.

PARTS THAT WORK
Thou shalt not polish a turd.
Make sure the guitar parts ROCK. make sure they are written with guitars in mind.Writing for synths and writing for guitars are NOT the same. Sit down with your guitarist and experiment with the parts. Try single notes, power 5ths and big insane chords.
A big tough and simple guitar part will HURT PEOPLE…and pain is good!

GOOD GEAR
I can’t think of a witty bi-line…
A guitar that sounds good, a good pedal, a solid amp. These things don’t have to be horridly expensive.

MIC THE UP!
Virtual amps are for pussies.
I firmly believe you need to physically PUSH AIR to get an awesome guitar sound. this involves an amp and mics and VOLUME!
We’re doing a Blipvert on guitars…so I’ll go into this in depth later.

hope this helps!

ROCK!
