SONIC SEDUCER INTERVIEWS ANGELSPIT ABOUT “THE BASTARD GODS”

Germany’s Sonic Seducer talk to Zoog about Angelspit’s new album “THE BASTARD GODS

>> DOWNLOAD THE BASTARD GODS!

In the promotion around the album it is written everywhere that this is your most brutal work. Why is this description so important to you?

Angelspit always strives create something terrifying and beautiful. THE BASTARD GODS is new for Angelspit because the melodies came from samples of scraping and bashing large springs, metal sculptures and anything I could find. These sounds have intense harmonics which sound terrifying when sampled and distorted. This created something nasty and disturbingly beautiful – resulting in Angelspit’s most brutal album to date.
I have a collection of 80s samplers – EMAX I (I own 4), K2000, Emulator II, Emulator III and Emulator IV. These samplers are the most widely used in Industrial music – as I wanted the sound of 1987-1993, such a wonderful time for Industrial music! I have a big collection of guitar pedals – which were used to distort the samples. The music was created entirely with samplers, distortion pedal, outboard gear, my massive modular synth and analogue synths – no Softsynths or plugin-effects were used. I wanted to stay true to my Industrial roots.

BRUTAL RESONANCE INTERVIEW FOR “THE IGNORANCE CATEL”

Steven Gullotta from Brutal Resonance talks with Angelspit’s Zoog Von Rock about the new album “The Ignorance Cartel”

I was watching America fall deeper into Idiocracy – wondering what bombshell was coming next. “The Ignorance Cartel” is the second part in the “Hexe Trilogy” which examines the conservative Right Wing’s thirst to burn witches to uphold “family values”…and they’re still doing it…while more disinformation was being pumped into your anti-social media feed, not being fact checked, just being re-affirmed by the all seeing algorithm.

Each Album Must Push Something Different…I cannot constantly churn out genre specific albums – that is so boring to me, it’s just not Rock’n’Roll. I’ve changed, my audience has changed, the world has changed… I try to be inspired our collective experience and we all grow together.

Different approach, different cast, different angle, same underlying chaos.
– Angelspit

Released back in September, Angelspit’s new album “Bang Operative” is a theory in human and societal decay all in the name of glorious technology and internet stardom. The cyberpunk album rooted in real world problems via the cult-like celebrity Hollywood status paired with homelessness, Zoog took inspiration from his hometown and personal experiences to create “Bang Operative“. A work of fiction blended in reality – check out our full interview with Zoog directly below.
