BLURB:
We’d been wanting to get one of these for years…then one just magically appeared in Schneiders’ Buero. It was love at first sight. The RS-500e has a beautiful, gentle, thumping yet “whiney” sound. It’s got the beef of a Moog but it sounds completely different.

PROS:
Resonance is WILD. We’re not big fans of Resonance, but it often gets used on this filter.
It has a CV SLEW switch: This makes the incoming CV/ENV information more smooth. helps if you want something more “organic”.
Pre 1974 (18dB)/Post 1974 (24dB) slope switch: I LOVE THIS! Just flick it to move between a 24dB slope and 18dB slope on the filter…it gives a really nice variety to the sounds you can get out of this filter.
Resonance CV In: really handy…but we never use it.
It also has input volume knob which will allow you to drive the inputs a little an warm it up a little.

CONS:
FM modulating isn’t overly HUGE. But this filter thumps regardless.

HINT:
Route your signal through some distortion before patching into this filter – it really gives some nice dirt.
